Blog 2: The best vacation ever

I think my best vacation ever was last summer. I travelled during almost all february to the south of Chile with my two best friends. The first week we stayed in Osorno in the house of the family of one of my friends. One day we travelled to Cascadas (a village next to Lago Llanquihue) to do trekking and get to know the sorroundings. Also, as my friends and I are musicians, we were invited to play music in a "cafe concert", it was very surprising and funny for us because we didin´t expected it at all.
The second week we went camping next to Lago Ranco and spent the time talking, swimming, singing by the campfire and playing cards. Our penultimate day there my brother and his girlfriend arrived and we spent that last night there together singing by the campfire.
The third week we went to Coñaripe where my family (my parents, my sibilings, and my cousin) were staying and we stayed with them, and enjoy playing cards at night and laugh while talking.
I chose this as the best vacation ever because I spent a lot of time travelling with my best friends, and also enjoyed, with them, spending time with my family.

One of my favorites movies is Green Book . A drama-comedy film of 2018 directed by Peter Farrelly that won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor.  The movie is inspired by the 1962 true story of the relationship between African American classical and jazz pianist Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali) and Italian American Frank "Tony Lip" Vallelonga (Viggo Mortensen) during Shirley's musical tour to the Deep South when Vallelonga worked as his driver and bodyguard. The name of the movie is a reference to "The Negro Motorist Green Book", a guidebook for African-American travelers in the US. In the movie, Tony and Shirley use this guide to travel safe in the racist South. I like this movie because of its cinematic discourse about race, social status and homophobia. Blog 3: Quarantine Activities

I have been in quarantine since March 16th, so tomorrow me and my family turn 3 months of confinement. Despite that, one week ago we move from an apartment in Ñuñoa to a house in Macul so my quarantine shook a little bit.  My daily routine was very different before we had classes to how is right now. Nowadays I'm waking up early so I can have a little time before classes to have breakfast and catch-up the class contents. Then I connect to class. Later on, me and my family eat lunch and spend time talking and drinking a cup of tea with some cookies. After that, I usually give time to university asignments.  I'm trying to spend my free time in "screen-free" activities. I usually play piano, it's a great way to disconect from the digital world. Nevertheless, I also spend my free time in playing Call of Duty in my cellphone with my friends and my elder brother, this way I connect with them. Blog 8: English Language Challenges

Hi everyone! This was my first English course and I had a really good experience in it. I liked a lot that this course's focus was to use English more that learn grammar and that stuff. I think that grammar is important but, to learn a language, the most important aspect is to use it. Considering that, I think that writing the blogs was a really good way to use English. Also, the topics we had to write were interesting and motivate the writing, especially the free topics we vote in classes. I also liked a lot the topics we discuss in classes through interviews, poems, videos, and texts. I think that one of the major things that I'm thankful for this course is the new authors that the teacher showed us. I would like to read some of them on my vacation. I think that one aspect I need to improve is to talk more freely and fluidly about diverse topics. Making the videos I notice that talking confidently is hard for me.
